Music Lineup

  • June 7th, 2024

6:00-7:40 pm ASHLEY RENEA – Music has been an outlet for Ashley as far back as she can remember. She taught herself how to play guitar at the age of 10, and from there, her life blossomed into a lifelong passion for music.  Shortly after learning guitar, she started writing songs and learned to play piano and ukulele. Her inspiration stemmed from Taylor Swift, and she is still her biggest inspiration today. She’s been performing for 10 years and has recently begun recording her original music. Her first single, “No Escape,” can be found on all streaming platforms, with her first EP, “Awaken, ” released May 30th. Her artistry encompasses pop characteristics, whether a song is synth-driven, incorporates dreamy strings, or is an emotionally charged ballad. At the end of the day, she is just a girl who loves music, cats, and the universe.

8:00-10:00 pm SUNDANCE BAND- The Lewis County Farmers Market proudly presents Sundance Band, a local gem that plays a mix of 70s and 80s classic rock, blues, funk, and country. Having performed at various local fairs, festivals, and events in North Central West Virginia, we are thrilled to have them play in their hometown of Weston. The band members, Wilma Cutlip, Ed VanHorn, Tom Darnall, and Mark Riggleman, bring their unique talents to create a memorable musical experience.

10:00-11:45 am Grayson Samples- Grayson comes from a long line of Appalachian musicians who have roamed the mountains of West Virginia for decades. For a unique sound, he blends his harmonica style with folk, blues, rock, and originals.

12:00-1:45 pm Tiffany Elliott and Joel Franks- Tiffany, a powerhouse vocalist with roots in gospel, and Joel, a versatile musician with over 30 years’ experience working in the music industry, bring a unique blend of talents to their duo. Tiffany’s classical training spans various musical styles, while Joel, a skilled drummer, singer, and guitarist, boasts influences like Tower of Power and Stevie Wonder.

2:00- 2:45 pm Jeffrey Vaughn– Jeffrey is a folk musician and songwriter whose style ranges from John Prine to Tony Rice. His roots are in the Appalachian Mountains of West Virginia, and he is part of a family of bluegrass musicians from which most of his inspiration comes. He writes about what’s on his mind, whether personal or just general concepts and his lyrics are simple yet truthful. The music is a mixture of music he grew up listening to, like bluegrass, country, folk, and blues.

3:00- 4:00 pm Cassidy Dickens– Marrying a powerful sense of traditional storytelling with a modern indie-folk sensibility, West Virginian singer-songwriter Cassidy is breathing new life into the world of acoustic Americana. Soon after releasing her debut album, Ghosts, in 2016, Cassidy moved from small-town Appalachia to Music City, where she cut her teeth collaborating with up-and-coming Nashville recording artists and earned a Josie Music Award nomination for her songwriting. Drawing cross-genre comparisons, Cassidy’s voice and songwriting style have been likened to artists from Alanis Morisette to Alison Krauss. Today—with more than 15 years of touring, 7 years of professional songwriting, two albums, and several singles under her belt—she’s thrilled to be back at home in West Virginia, where she continues to perform, write, and collaborate with other artists. Her third album, All I’m Missing, is slated for release in summer 2024.
